Jeb Dunnuck 94pt

The nose of the 2019 Barolo Riserva Cannubi offers more clarity and purity on the nose, with ripe notes of raspberry liqueur and pressed flowers. A great expression, it has fantastic depth of character as well as wonderful clarity and focus. It offers ripe, well-defined tannins, a refreshing spine of acidity, a note of apricot, and a long finish. This Barolo is one of the highlights in the range of wines from this vintage. Bravo.

Vinous Media 93pt

The 2019 Barolo Riserva Cannubi is a big, hulking wine. A blast of dark red cherry fruit, scorched earth, tobacco, licorice and incense hits the palate first. This dense, strapping Barolo packs a huge punch. There's more power than finesse here. Iron, game, white pepper and coffee appear later to round things out. Readers should expect a tough, tannic, old-school style.
