Product Ratings
Decanter 95pt

Bruna Giacosa maintains an unwavering affection for 2022, citing a freshness particularly in Barolo. Nevertheless, she decided against making a Riserva, so the efforts of the estate are concentrated in this white label bottling. Intense yet embryonic, the nose unfolds with medicinal herbs and exotic Chinese spices, alongside hints of petrichor and tobacco. Classically savoury, the palate also sports its signature finesse. Dark, juicy plum is inflected with iron and stone minerals. The tannins are crisp but long-chained, wrapping neatly around the core. Succulence counters a dry firmness; already harmonious and quite supple, rose petals gush on the finish.

Jeb Dunnuck 97pt

The 2022 Barolo Falletto Vigna Le Rocche pours a ruby red color and is still somewhat reserved aromatically. With air, it begins to reveal salted licorice, cherry cordial, pressed roses, orange rind, and gravelly earth. On the palate, it's medium-bodied yet expansive, saturating without heaviness and carrying impressive length. This is structured but already shows clarity of site and intent.
