Estate
A family-owned estate established in 1983, Vignobles Rambaud was created from vineyards
originating from the Rambaud family property in Saint-Pey-d’Armens, in the Saint-Émilion area. The Château La Guerinnière estate was established in 1990.
Today, the estate continues its family tradition under the management of Christophe Rambaud, representing the next generation of the family.
Description
Grown on the prized eastern slopes of saint-Emilion, this wine is hand harvested and aged for 17 months in French oak barrels.
Terroir
AOC Saint-Émilion estate covering 10 hectares,
located in the communes of Saint-Pey-d’Armens
and Saint-Hippolyte. The vineyard has an average
vine age of 20 years and is planted on sandy-loam
soils.
Vinification
Vinification under the supervision of consulting
oenologist Thierry Jouan.
Pre-fermentation temperature control below 12°C
for 2–3 days, followed by alcoholic fermentation
with regular pump-overs. 8–10 days of maceration.
Malolactic fermentation in concrete and stainless
steel tanks, maintained at approximately 22°C,
followed by 3–4 rackings and SO2 management
Tasting Notes
Beautiful deep red color– attractive appearance. Red aromas on the nose. Good concentration on the palate, with ripe tannins, well-balanced and full-bodied. Plenty of fruit with a touch of sweetness. A harmonious and elegant wine.
