Estate

A family-owned estate passed down through four generations, Château La Pervenche is deeply rooted in the history of the Bordeaux vineyard. In 2005, the estate was taken over by Christophe Baudet, a cousin of the founding family, who continued developing the vineyard while respecting its winemaking traditions. In 2024, his son joined the family business, representing the new generation and ensuring the continuity of the estate’s expertise and heritage.

Terroir

Located in the commune of Lussac, Château La Pervenche enjoys a privileged location at the gateway to the prestigious Pomerol appellation. This proximity to one of Bordeaux’s most renowned terroirs provides the estate with an exceptional wine growing environment, ideal for producing wines with distinctive character. The vineyard covers 5.50 hectares in a single block, allowing precise and consistent vineyard management.

Vinification

Traditional vinification takes place in temperature controlled concrete vats, with a maceration period of 4 to 5 weeks, allowing gentle extraction and optimal management of aromas, color, and tannins. The wines are aged in underground concrete vats, ensuring a naturally stable temperature while preserving freshness, balance, and the wine’s aromatic purity.

Tasting Notes

A refined and expressive 100% Merlot, Château La Pervenche reveals aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries, and subtle spice. Smooth and well-balanced on the palate, it offers silky tannins, fresh fruit flavors, and a long, elegant finish, reflecting the character of the terroir.
