Product Ratings
James Suckling 93pt

A 2021 with substance and freshness. Blackberry and sandalwood aromas. Medium-bodied and beautifully curated and polished. So drinkable now with just the right amount of tannins. Drink or hold.

Tim Atkin 93pt

Sublety is the name of the game at this Edmond de Rothschild-owned property in Campo de los Andes these days. Aged without new barrels, this is a foudre and older barrel-matured Malbec with stony minerality, violet, potpourri and rose petal aromas, savoury tannins and blackberry, red cherry and bramble fruit.

Vinous Media 93pt

The 2021 Gran Malbec hails from Campo Los Andes and was aged for up to 18 months in new and used French oak barrels, foudres and stainless steel tanks. It offers precise fruit aromas of plum, vanilla and cedar, complemented by hints of toffee and jarilla. The ripe dark fruit and creamy texture, along with polished tannins, deliver a delicate mouthfeel and a savory finish. This is a well-calibrated Malbec with a Bordelais nod.

Tasting Notes

The color is intense with violet tones, typical of this grape variety. The nose is expressive, dominated by fruity aromas of plums and cherries, along with characteristic floral notes of violet from the Uco Malbec. On the palate, the attack is round with fine, polished, and dense tannins that provide a magnificent mid-palate. The mineral character, freshness, subtle oak influence, and long finish make this wine an example of quality, elegance, and excellence. Serve at 16°C.Decant for 1 hour.

Food Pairing

This wine is perfect with grilled meats, meat dishes with sauce and assorted cheeses.
